Vi startade med ett kreativt arbete där vi tog fram tema och inspiration för sommarens kollektion.
Birgit Båvner har utbildning och lång erfarenhet samt ett stort intresse av att sy medan Nettan Lasseby har en bakgrund som kläddesigner samt grafiskt och konstnärligt arbete.
Tillsammans letar vi material och skapar modeller som blir unika plagg. Varje plagg har färgats och/eller målats för hand vilket innebär att den som bär plagget kommer att vara garanterat ensam om just det plagget.
reXdo står för ”gör om”. Våra plagg är skapade av exempelvis f.d. dukar, lakan, örngott mm. Vi använder även stuvbitar som annars kan vara svårt att göra något av.
Materialen är linne och bomull. Vår bomullstrikå kommer från klädbranschen där det blivit ett överskott i produktionen.
We started with creative work where we came up with a theme and inspiration for the summer collection.
Birgit Båvner has education and long experience as well as a great interest in sewing, while Nettan Lasseby has a background as a clothing designer as well as graphic and artistic work.
Together we look for materials and create models that become unique garments. Each garment has been dyed and/or painted by hand, which means that the wearer will be guaranteed to be the only one with that particular garment.
reXdo stands for "make over". Our garments are created by, for example, used tablecloths, sheets, pillowcases, etc. We also use small pieces of fabric scraps that might otherwise be difficult to make something out of.
The materials are linen and cotton. Our cotton knitwear comes from the clothing industry where there has been an excess in production.
